چکیده

Present paper studies the ocean response to super-typhoon Haiyan based on satellite and Argo float data. First, we show satellite-based surface wind sea temperature during Haiyan, evaluate widely-used atmospheric oceanic analysis-or-reanalysis datasets. Second, investigate signals of float, find daily-sampling floats capture phenomena both vertical-mixing-induced mixed-layer extension nonlocal subsurface upwelling. Accordingly, comparisons between reanalysis reveal that, typhoon-induced upwelling in needs be further improved, meanwhile, salinity profiles prior typhoon arrival are significantly biased.
